Ok, we got some ideas out here, and RR, I have seen a rendering of the top trees you describe, and they look good, prototypes are on the schedule, but they are
busy as hell at present with orders that have actually been made of their current parts, so this stuff comes in later.
1. It has been mentioned to Matt , (and RR, you have his email address, and he is listening to what you have to say)about the top trees with a clamp for the top of the tubes versus the smooth top. Why? just what you say, this is a PRODUCTION RUN, need to sell numbers, and more numbers for the larger audience. A rendering has been done, and engineered to do the top smooth plate, for those interested, step up and submit how many you think you can sell so that they can be made?
2. NOBODY has made contact for any other part other than a top billet tree. NO GL guys? I have not seen a top tree so they can be made, without an original to take dimentions from, they will not be done. Woogaus, draw up, even a crude sketch, of what you have in mind, the idea here is production run, would be nice to make 50 parts, but lets start small and see if it is justified, how a bout 20? 15? How much interest? NO problem makeing the part, but one offs are a different price bracket, but they can still be done.
I get an email from Matt every day, nearly, and he keeps appraised of the situation there, so if you have an idea, throw it out there, send me a sketch, snail mail works too, I can convert it when I get it and communicate with the submitter to see if it is right.
These guys are a performance shop, that is production oriented, they currently make trees for the Ducati sport bikes, upper and lower , and performance clutches for snow machines, they would like to expand their offering,
