mostly cosmetic. different tank and sidecovers, different pipe mounts at the headers, disk rear brake, I believe minor engine mods over the K models

Depends on the year. In '76 the SS was not that far from a regular CB750. All it really had was a different tank and sidecovers, and a rear-disc with spoke
wheels. In '77 and '78 they are actually fairly different. Comstar mag wheels, different bodywork. The motor has a head with different valves (slightly
bigger) and some other engine differences. The '77 and '78 SS (F-model) engines got kind of a bad rep.
