Those recessed suck...but there is a way to weld ? or make sumtin that will stop the rain from invading your gas and utterly ruining your day

maybe a nice rubber seal or something the presses against the cap when closed....will look into it.

just put a vent in it and plug the vent in the cap........you could descretely french a vent line into that thing somewhere.
