I was going to go the extension route, but was told by several people that they often fail. I ended up getting a motion Pro cable through LRT and have been
happy with it. It's worth the few extra bucks, and looks better.

I'm leaning towards one of these just for road trips. More for monitoring how long between gas stops but having a idear of how fast I'm going seems
