I guess I'm up next for the forks. These will work on 74'-75' tubes? You up for just sellin the lowers an caliper? or ya want ta get rid of it all?
I use old fork tubes for a ever increasing chrome fence around the yard.lol |

I will sell whichever you need...doesnt matter to me as long as I can figure out how they come apart...dont know what years they will fit though...dont know
enough about stock parts to say..do you know how to tell?

I wish i knew,maybe Tommy can ID em. As for taking them apart,just take out the allen bolt in the curve where the axle goes.

With the tubes. Not sure if they are the right length...but I think they will be. Currently, I'm measuring 33.5" from top of tubes to the axel. But
with a 40 degree neck, I'm running just over 8" of trail. According to my calculations (read I googled rake and trail and found online calculators) I
should be able to maintain the frame height and correct the trail by adding 2" to the forks, and going to 5 degree raked trees.
Only thing I'm not positive on and haven't found yet, is what forks do I have? I'm assuming 4 over, so your 6 over should be just right. Is there a difference in total length between these and off a '71? Actually - twolfman might even know what I have, and shed me some insight. (It's the project retromant sold - Tallon's Sidewinder frame converted to a single downtube). Sorry for the rambling...but yeah, with the tubes. |
