I use a shot bag full of sand. A canvas bag like banks use is a little bigger. I have said before, I am a minimum-effort kinda guy.
I think that the type of hammer you use is the important part. |

Yeah, A shot bag is what its called, some are sand filled others use metal shot like ball bearings. I had one I made out of a heavy canvas bank deposit lock
bag before filled with those little river rocks.
