Ridelord; Sorry to here about you employment troubles..that really sucks. You mention Tulsa. There is a worldwide company "Arrow Specialty " based in Tulsa, that has made and supplied high quality oilfield engine parts globally for many many years. They actually build (or maybe assemble now) oilfield engines in both Tulsa and Millwaulke (Waukesha clones). We have noticed in the last year the quality of their parts has really gone downhill,supply is weak, but yet they do seem to be dropping network pricing considerably. We've been told that Arrow Specialty is having many of their engine parts farmed out to Mexico, China etc. Personally I would pay a bit more to have a part that I don't have to replace in a week. Sure they offer to warrenty the defective item, but they don't consider the pissed off customer and the 6 hrs. you had to pay your field mechanic to replace it. We all know what a pain it is to even get warrenty...forms to fill out...prove of purchase...are you sure it was installed properly....you should have contacted us first..etc...etc. I have some real concerns regarding the future of the global economy. The world has gotten a lot smaller since instant communications. Ridelord, your loss of a job in a small way (now) does affect each and everyone of us. Remember: One door closes, but a better one will open.
