I started fabbing my electric box from the drawings here on the site. Most of the boxes that I've seen have either holes or louvers in the tops. Will
I have any heat problems if I do not put in the vent holes?
Thanks,
Kevin

I would definately vent the box . Find a local hot rod builder or maybe a body shop , shouldn't cost too much .

marine stores have many parts (as i've said many times before) that work real well on bikes. these louvers come in a few different sizes.

It would depend on weather you were putting your coils in there or your reg/rec combo. Both these things make heat... If your just using it for your key and
switches and fuses I wouldn't think it was needed. I've made mine with no vents but only key switch and toggle are in the box.

what blewgrass posted sure does look cheap enough... or you could just get out the Shotgun and Buckshot... then you'd have something to talk about ...lol
um... personal touch? ...lol
If you can't tell it's not a Harley, I won't tell you it's a Honda.

When I made a new cover for my Finch box outta diamond plate, I used the old timey trick to lighten up parts..... I got out my drill press and presto, neet
little air vents. Once it was painted you don't even notice the holes....I just made sure they looked like they were suppose to be there and kept them nice
and symetrical. Looks good and was free.

i have a closed nerd shop box(alloy computer box) with no holes in it, i run a reg/rec combo bolted to the top(outside) of the box and my coils are under the
tank, no problems at all with all the electrics inside.
