Try this as the hot air leaving the head is now being cooled entering the exhaust pipe. This slows down the hot air. Work the engine so it is one cylinder and you are not confused maybe. So say the cold exhaust pipe slows that hot air flow into the muffler.

What the wrap does is keep the hot air moving so the transition of the incoming charge is going to be sucked out as well. There is your fine line in that wrap the heat faster going out the pipe. That is where you begin to cool the pipe or heat the pipe with the wrap. See, If you move the wrap farther down the pipe like it looks cool and all, but the effect is now no effect at all and is now just for looks. Man, did you or might weaken that next fresh charge coming in using too much heat moving too far down the pipe. You need to slow it and find that point of well running even better than it did stock.

Looks aside, you are now a thermometer wrapped with the hot air movement. Now the guy with too much wrap complains there is no power. Well, he kept the heat inside going an pulled the fresh charge with it. The pipe alone also pulls that fresh charge of air into the exhaust too. There is your factory design. Not the aftermarket pipe.

So when he says the power is down after the wrap, it sucked 'some' of the fresh charge out also, (out of the chamber). This I mean is such a small amount of fresh charge meaning... So when that overlap happens (both intake and exhaust are open at the same time= overlap), you see that cam and the two lobes are pointing up like a perky set of boobs is that both your hands are holding her boobs up in day air and the sweat under her folds are drying up. So that sort of over handling on your part of the over holding her boobs double cup wise is that overlap of air or sweat off her chest is like now someone took the bulge out of her man boobs if you swing day other way kind of engine hum is holding smaller tits... It took the sweat and a little bit of bite the boob teeth marks deflated guys and dolls.

That too much bite around the wrap is now an art to study. So is that pipe manufacturer trying to keep that charge in the overlap back in there with their own black art pipe (unwrapped), and all that R&D is one wrap wind or even a half wrap over the pipe length is too much and she nosedives slower than a stock bike left alone.
