if it's had oil in it most places aren't going to want to do it because the oil contaminates there tanks. I got a price of $300 to do an amen oil tank.
Told him no thanks and had a texture/wrinkle flat black done instead......for much less.
I just dropped off 10 pieces at a local chromer, good place usually the most expensive around but he's slow so he's doing it for a good price and It'll be done in 2-3 weeks. |

I went with spray chrome on my oil tank. Was around $100 . It looks real close to chrome. Kevin

Keep the cherry man, just share the bottle at the WHCM.
He's the best around here and been in business a long time (father and son shop). He's also usually twice the cost of others. But his work is damn good. Victor is the guy I talked to, he's the son and he's been working in that shop for 30 years. He's a good dude to talk to also. B&L plating Tell him "Matt the guy that just brought in the motorcycle parts" sent ya. Call me.

onebad40willys wrote: I have always liked Chromemasters. But someone else was right, it will be hard to find someone to do a used oil tank because of contaminants. If
rechroming is not an option, and you don't want to paint or pwdercoat, these guys may give you another option. Have never seen it in person, but the
pics/video demo here look pretty amazing. I really think this may be the product responsible for those all chrome bikes you see at bikeshows and such.
