There used to be a post in the garage section with a pattern for forward control mounts. They kinda looked like a boomerang with a hole in each end. I have
searched the entire board and can't seam to find it. Could someone point me to it please?
Second, Does anyone know of anyone making these? Thanks BILL

Tat2guy was making complete forwards with those mounts for like $75 or so. See if you can contact him.

I just need the plates. I'm putting big twin forwards on my frame and was looking to maybe mount the mounts to something like those.
Thanks J

RIGHT NOW...I am feverishly (SP?.LOL)..working on mounting forwards using them plates..I have an extra one laying around that I use for a pattern..if you want,
I could measure it out, and get back with ya..
My cutting tourch tip is about shot, so I had my local welding shop cut the plates out for me..which, just to add a little on that...my bro that works there was gone on a month long off site service job, so I had to have some new guy cut them out, Turns out he cant cut any better then I could with a trashed cutting tip..(he was suppose to be using a plasma cutter,.. I dont think he did, or dont know how to work it anyway)...so needless to say, I had to spend a month of sundays using my bench grinder to get them looking decent/good.. (just had to vent on that one for a minute) 74rat when in doubt..knock`um out...H.C.C.M.F LOCAL 6978 Flint Michigan..3rd most dangerous city in the USA..come back and visit us..sorry we "missed" you the first time..LOL |

I have them drawn to my specs in an autocad file. they are similar to the ones in tommy's bucket. I will try and find the file, and post some photos of how
i am using them on my bike. I had Kevin Baas of baasmetalcraft.com do mine.

Hell, all I did was cut a piece of cardboard and put it up again the back of the frame and trace the lines down. Once I got the first cut done, I just kept
going until I got the shape I was looking for. They turned out like in LRT drawing except I made them the same for both sides.
I also used 1/4 inch metal, not to bad for the first time (another set will be made in next winter). Easy to do with the cardboard and play with it than messing with the metal. I maybe be off base but that my 1/2 cent worth of useless knowledge. Rode |

Here is what i did with the banana style mounts. I made them both the same, and ran tubing through both sides.
If you want the autocad file, drop me a line, i am sure i can find it somewhere. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff81/j07johnson/Chop%20Pics/DSC01086.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff81/j07johnson/Chop%20Pics/DSC01085.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff81/j07johnson/Chop%20Pics/DSC01087.jpg |

Does that tube clear the filter housing. I might have to do that for mine. There's just a little bit of flex in my forward that I'm not to keen on. |

74rat and Damien,
Sure send me any info or patterns you have. Tigman made the mounts but wouldn't weld them to the frame because he didn't know what exhaust I'm going to use. So I can use any help I can get. Thanks again Bill Email > jmapp2000@comcast.net I hate yuku messages. LOL
