Well Andrew, TJ and I are making progress on our chobber. Paint is almost done, just gotta get some clear on it this coming week. For paint, we used
Rustoleum Hammered paint, kind of has the texture of truck bedliner but with color... we ended up using copper and black for the frame/tank/fenders. We found
a catalyzed clear that will work with the hammered finish, we ran some samples to test it just to be sure and it worked well, no lifting and good adhesion. On
the motor, the jugs are high heat black and the cases are hammered silver. Oh and the header wrap is done too.
I took some pics today with the sheetmetal together to get an idea of how it will look finished... if anyone wants to have a look, they can be seen at:

Thank for the kind words. We went around for a while on the color. I think Steve bought 50.00 worth of paint to do samples. This is turning into a learning
experience. (money) We have been doing a lot of maintenance and customizing to our bikes over the years but our first chopper. Steve did a great job on the

as far as the color goes.. we started with this tan seat, we knew we needed a color that would work with it... Andrew had the idea of this combo... I was
against it cause HD did copper/black for their 105th anniversary bikes and I didn't care for how they looked... but thankfully we did a sample, and the
copper wasn't orange like the HDs, and the black is more charcoal than black... and wow it looked pretty damn good, so off we went. The stripes are kind
of a throwback to a 70 SS Chevelle, which TJ and I both love (I owned one that got stolen in 1977, gawd I still miss that car...lol).

we made some more progress today. Andrew and I got the motor back in the frame a few days ago, and today the 3 of us worked on putting the rest of the bike
back together. Lots of details left to do , but at least it's looking like a bike now.
