Looking for a trade. Either a nice solo seat or a black seat similar to the one I want to trade.

Hmm,
How does it hold on? Does it bolt on? Do you know what the leather is made out of? What would you want as a trade? You said a solo seat? |

Tabs? How do the tabs work?
Heh, yeah I guess a cow. I was looking at your avatar & I thought it might have been deerskin for some reason. I have a solo black seat that came with the basketcase that I bought. It's a Harley Sportster type of solo seat with a black vinyl cover. The seat itself bolts onto the bike. The black vinyl would have to be fixed to the formed foam underneath with carpet nails or something similar, although I suppose you could use some kind of adhesive...or both. I was going to fix it up myself. I'll take some pictures of what it looks like now & show it to you. How comfortable is that seat you want to trade? To be honest, it is kind of an ugly seat. However, I kind of like brown leather & I have been looking for a '2-up' seat. This would save me having to get a pillion. |

hey adams... what is the LENGTH of that puppy from tip to aft? ...and also, in your pics...is that a konged/cut frame or is it mounted on a stock frame with
straight rails?
I've been pondering on a seat solution...and that might do it ...

"Konged" is a term (named for a former member here) for the common stock-frame modification of cutting the seat tubes area out and lowering/remaking
them more inline with the top tube giving a more traditional chopper look. I"m not sure if you have to also slug and extend the front down-tubes (to add
rake/run a longer frontend) to be officially "konged" but many also do that. This is a
website showing just the seat lowering part of a "kong" job.
