It has C&G 30 77 stamped on the headstock. So im assuming it was the thirtyith frame made by C&G in 1977. (And from another post on this site I learned that C&G is not Corbin an Gentry?? ) http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/carolinebradley/G_Stuff/CandGFrame-1.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y101/carolinebradley/G_Stuff/Stretch_Look.jpg Mounts all appear to be for a CB750 SOHC (although I have yet to try the engine in) and I thought that the headstock would also be for a Honda. BUT ALAS..not! That Honda front is only slid in for the pics. Dimensions of the neck are as follows.. Neck length: 181mm (or 7 1/8") Neck tubing outer diameter: 55mm (or 2 1/4") Bore: 44mm (or 1 3/4") The bore measurement refers to the dia of the bore where the shells are inserted. However, the bore is slightly narrower as you would expect beyond the shell recess. Do those dimensions match anyone elses project?? Would be good to identify and find an appropriate matching springer/girder or yolks without loads of guessing. Perhaps this was designed for a springer?? or a Triumph/Brit front end?? What do you reckon.. Do you have one of these frames..if so what front did you use.. Loadsa questions : Many thanks & Cheers, G. The mounts do look to be for a CB750, although if I'm not mistaken you're supposed to have some motor-mount plates similar to an Amen for the upper rear mounts. The tank in the middle of the pic is an Amen coffin tank (I think). That's the one i'd use, or if you don't use it I'd be interested in buying it for my Amen. The neck sounds to me like a Sporty neck. Sporty necks are 7" long (give or take the 1/8" you posted) while Hondas are about 7 1/2" long. A sporty frontend would have been a pretty logical choice for a custom back when this frame was built. Shame you didn't post this here a couple weeks ago, 'cause I just sold off a +6 sporty girder frontend that would have been perfect for this. Anyway, perhaps you can find a set of sporty trees that you can try and fit on it to see if they match. Might be a brit frontend, but I would kinda doubt anyone would put a brit frontend on a CB750 rigid frame in the 70's. I'd try sporty... You do also have to option of changing it to a Honda frontend. You can shorten your stock Honda neck stem (make sure and slug it for strength) and then buy a set of the tapered Honda neck bearings. From there you can likely shim the races into the Sporty neck. A word of advice, any question beginning with"Will ______ fit _______" will usually receive the smartass answer of "On a chopper anything can be made to fit". Welcome to the site, and good luck. Missed another girder from the US recently also. (all Quotes for shipping were extremely high) Anyway thanks I will see if I can get my hands on a Sporster set of trees to try. The Amen Coffin/Diamond tank is being kept for another project, and Browd (if I am correct) is the guy who sourced that one for me!! Thanks again mate. Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	get close up pictures of the neck (top and bottom), get more percise ID measurements and post back, please...before you buy anything sounds like you'll need neck cups and in most case that means 1" HD for a frame like yours, built during the period it was. These 1" bearings are also standard automotive fair (hopefully someone can post the numbers, I don't have them off hand), so that should save you a couple bucks and might even find them locally (not sure of the "market" in Ireland). Sportsters to the late 80s were 35mm, so you can still use the tubes and such that you got, you'll just need to track down some tress. Lets make sure of what are working with here, first "We're not Hippies, we're Slippies..."

No place for the Amen oil bag, no tabs for it either. That cross bar under the seat isn't there on an Amen, and the axle plates look different too. Maybe it's kind of an Amen copy?

The motor mounts front and back are a little different. The top tube to the seat area extends - not AMEN. The brake pedal mount is different as is the neck area.
