Loose exhaust on 78k |

I have a 2 to 1 exhaust on my 78k and the right side does not hold very well to the head even when I tighten the clamp down until the bolt is about to snap.
The left side (as you are sitting on the bike) is fine. Ive seen a few people running straight pipes and drags without any rear support. If I did that, id
lose my right side in under a mile. Is there any way to get the exhaust to clamp on tighter? I have the smooth low profile exhaust clamps.

SO you put spigots on your 78K? DO you drink beer? (BTW< that is no VISIBLE rear support, there is a strap that connects the two drag tubes right under the
footpeg and attaches to same)
Remove the right side exhaust, drink a couple of beers, get out an old pair of regular ole scissors and cut yourself a "shim" out of the empty can. wrap around the spigot(s) slide the headers back on and see if that didn't tighten things up a tad. If you are running the actual 78K pipes, without the spigot, get some new exhaust gaskets, and put a decently thick washer benath the nut that tightens clamp to the head.
