Try to bore your cylinders out not knowing what the fuck your doing. Goddamnit!!! Oh well. Live and learn. I started in a manual mill with a boring head.
Took too big a cut and fucked shit up. So then I pressed a sleeve out and put it in a lathe with a 3 jaw chuck. I took a pass and then a finish pass and
checked it for out of round with a very good bore gauge. Looked round, but here's the thing. Everywhere it had a high spot, it had a low spot on the
opposite side to match, so it appeared round. I first I thought fuck ya, I'm in like Flint, so I did all four. Pressed em back in and put it back in the
mill to hone them. When I tried to indicate them on the inside my indicator goes nuts. On the outside they are nice and round. Fuck!! Took a light cut with
the boring head just to see and sure enough.... It takes metal off in three spots evenly spaced. By the time I take off enough metal to clean up all the way
around they are too big. I'll start over next week Any one got some 71 juggs they don't need. Take it easy. Julio
