It's just about time and I have not even rode the new bike once. Still have to finish weld the rear fender mount, build a headlight mount, reroute my oil tank vent, bleed the brakes, wire......oh yeah and swap engines! I started the engine that I plan to use in the new chop yesterday morning and it started easy enough but smoked a bit and seemed to be making a noise, kinda like a knock, but more noticable to the rear of the bike....could be internal chain slap even, not sure but at any rate i do not feel comfortable taking it into mexico untested so I am stealing the engine out of my long bike since it is a proven engine that I rebuilt last year.
Wish me luck, it's a much shorter list then the one I had on friday, busted ass and got a lot done this week end, even spent 24 hours straight at the shop on monday, went in at 1pm monday and didn't leave again till after 1pm on tuesday and I only left then to go to work. Man I hate work, can't wait to kick back and just ride through mexico. Ok folks enough rambling, I got my leave chit in hand and its time to get my bike buttoned up, i'll post pics of the completed bike later today, and lots more after the trip.
