74rat I believe suggested the champs to me and I have not had any problems with them. Seems to run and start a little easier, and easier to read for checking
on my jetting. Oh ya they use a 5/8ths socket instead of the 18mm, way easier to get to.

Piggy-back questions if you guys don't mind..........
1. What GAP would you set new plugs at? (If it matters: '72 motor- stock points & coils- newly rebuilt carbs- pod filters- dual exhaust w/baffles) 2. Has anyone tried that spark-plug modification that the guys at cyclexchange recommend? http://www.cyclexchange.net/Elec%20System%20Comp%20Page.htm |

You've got to change the plugs?!?!?
I bet the plugs in my bike are at least 8 years old and she still fires right up! I changed the points and condenser at the same time. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!! Luckily I've got a self-lubricating head, so when I do get around to putting a new set of plugs in it, the old ones should slide right out.
You know, this used to be a helluva good country. I can't understand what's gone wrong with it. - George Hanson, Easy

I fuckin' hate champions. I run NGK's and they're fine by me. If you keep fouling a plug every year, why don't ya bump it up one or two in the
heat range?

what would be the next heat range up. i went to the parts store today to get some and they couldnt cross anything with em. then i went to the damn honda shope
and they couldnt cross anything with the stock ngks either.
