If it runs good with the choke on, your carbs are dirty.
You need to take em apart and clean em. Pods-Open Drags- Id start at 120's and go from there. The ones in the carbs gotta have some #'s on em somewhere, dont see why anyone would grind them off?? 1st them carbs gotta be clean no matter whats in em for jets.

You are running pretty lean to need the choke all the time. Even if the carbs were clean if they still have the stock jets in them it would run lean.
If it sat for a while thorough cleaning is almost a must. If it sat for a long time rebuild kits are a damn good idea, with replacement accelerator pump diaphragm if the one it it is stiff. As mentioned, 120s are a good starting point for the 77K. If it has the stock 15A needles in it no fuss there, but if the needles have slots at the top try the middle slot first. You might have to polish the jets to see the numbers. Varnish and oxidation tend to make them practically unreadable. Scotchbrite works well. If they are the original stock jets they will be 115s, if they have been rebuilt in the past they might be 110s.
It was Honda first, all through the middle, and if I have my way, till the end as well.
Most people say what they'll do. Very few actually do what they say. |

I'm nearly sure that 81 carbs wont fit a 77 or any other SOHC 750
God damn you all, I was right

up being extras that I bought from Tommy no too long ago. 120s are pretty much a good overall starting place. They are being wasted just sitting in my stash.
