It's normal to mourn the loss of someone so close but, after the grief subsides,
remember to celebrate their life that touched yours so deeply.
Try to find solace in the fact that he's no longer in pain and at peace.

I second that, Tommy, about being the youngest. I lost both of mine before I was 25. Dad died in my home on Christmas '99 while under the care of Hospice. Frank, Nothing anyone can say will take away your pain, but later you will only remember the good times you had with them. As long as you told him that you loved him, all is good. Peace be with you.

I lost my dad some years back, and my brother died a year ago. There is no way to say it eloquently; it just sucks. I wept like an infant for awhile, but it eventually gets better. You never forget, you just cope.

It's been 8 years since I watched my old man pass in front of my mom and I now, I still miss him and his memory still brings a tear to my eye when I think about him. Time heals but not completely. and that's a good thing. Memory is all we really have. Take care

sorry to hear that Pepper... my wife (FireSprite) and I were doing the Hospice thing this last week ourselves... her mom passed away on tuesday... try to hold on to the good times and celebrate/focus on that ... instead of a funeral service and wake / viewing and all that... we're doing a "Celebration of Life" instead... its today at 3pm-5pm ...pictures/ slideshow/ music etc etc

sorry to hear what you're going thru...it's tough...
