Oh goody, exhaust talk. I am trying to mount a set of 2 into one pipes on my scoot, but I guess I need spigots. (Anybody got some they don't need?) I don't know poo about these pipes except from what I was told like 5 years ago when I bought them from a shop out of Walneck's. I can say that they don't look like the MACs above. I guess I should take a picture of em and see if yous guys can help.

pipes came in today...they look pretty good...will mount them tonight ands ee which im keeping.

Since we seem to have so many empty houses due to the foreclosure fiasco nation wide.. We have a ton of empty, unattended houses ..

They actually have gangs of people that raid these places for the copper under the walls . They've shown pictures of houses with huge holes blasted in the walls to access the plumbing and electrics ... The cut water and gas lines without shutting them off.. leaving them open ..

We even have a special task force of our police department...

Shit man, I heard on the news a couple weeks back that thieves are stealing catalytic converters in parking lots. They find unattended cars later at night, like at the airport or metro station, and they jack them up and sawzall the converter off and put the car back down. It used to be airbags, now it's cats. WTF man.

I remember ..(not that long ago either ..) when it was hard to get somebody to pick up your vehicle and pay you anything .. they'd just haul it away for free ..

Thats because they would only get like $50 at the scrapper ...

I remember...(not that long ago either..) when I'd buy decent beaters to drive for $500 .. $400 if I was lucky ..lolol.

LRT, my brother's got a big truck andhe grabs up junk cars wherever he can get 'em. The local crusher (local being 25 miles away that is) is paying $8.50/100lbs for junk cars. You don't even have to take the wheels off. Just punch a hole in the gas tank so there's no fuel left in it and drop it off. For an average car of say 3200# that's about $280 and it isn't even all metal (seats, glass, tires, etc). Snag an old Mercedes or something and you're lookin at $400 easy.

Dans right about the plating issue ... Seems like MACs chrome has declined a bit over the past few years.. but in defence of that ... MAC drags retail for something lke $260 I believe .. and I couldn't get a set of frags plated for under $350 ..

guys, these are NICE pipes! i got a few NOS sets a few years ago & that's whats on my santee. (the longer version pipes)

the chrome on the old ones is nicer than what i've seen on a lot of newer ones.

Nice score Swish .. those look to be able to work with most any application.. They are side by side and not staggered like the ones in my pics .. Makes for better clearance for forwards ..

I just bought another set similar, but havent gotten them in yet...they should be here next week.

Thanks for the help Tommy. As far as a trade I don't think he can do it. Long story short he spent money for all this stuff that he really didn't have and now he needs to pay the piper so to speak.

NOS MAC 2 into 1 pipes

These are brandy brand new pipes from the 70's. They have been mounted but the bike has never been started. These pipes take the 77-78 style mounts, not for spigot type. Chrome is a 9.5 outta 10 and have the usual scratches from being moved around. 300 dollars shipped in the US. I'll have pics of the pipes and the frame from the other thread up tomorrow. And as usual post here if you want them first so we keep it fair if more than 1 guy wants them.
